SPD is proud to be part of the working committee in support of The Purple Parade, the movement that promotes inclusion and celebrates the abilities of people with disabilities.

While children can learn to read independently, there is still value for parents to read to them.  SPD’s speech therapist Tan Jia Hui shares the benefits of reading to children and some reading tips that apply to both children with and without special needs.

Three local undergraduates were awarded the Asia Pacific Breweries (APB) Foundation Scholarship for Persons with Disabilities in recognition of their exceptional academic performance and contributions to their school and the community.
