Rehabilitation Services
Our Rehabilitation Centres provide centre- and home-based physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy, including cognitive rehabilitation for individuals with neurological conditions such as stroke and acquired brain injury. Our services are designed to improve functional abilities, promote independence and support individuals in achieving their daily living goals.
Located at SPD Ability Centre, SPD@Canberra, SPD@Melody Spring Yishun and SPD@Toa Payoh, our centres offer rehabilitation services tailored to a wide range of needs, including post-surgical recovery, stroke rehabilitation, deconditioning, pain management and enhancing daily living skills. We support individuals with neurological, orthopaedic, medical and surgical conditions, as well as congenital disabilities.
At SPD Ability Centre, we also offer these specialised services:
Transition to Employment (TTE)
- Community-based return-to-work programme to re-integrate people with acquired physical disabilities back to mainstream workforce.
- The programme will be tailored according to individual needs by a multi-disciplinary team consisting of therapists, social workers and employment support specialists.
- Clients will receive intervention support such as active rehabilitation, work hardening training as well as employment placement and support.
Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Rehabilitation
- Tailored rehabilitation programme for persons with spinal cord injury
- We aim to assist clients to return to work or return to meaningful engagement.
