Director, Employment Services
Esther was appointed Director of Employment Services in April 2024. She joined SPD in January 2020 as Director overseeing organisational development as well as the human resource and volunteer management functions in SPD.
Prior to joining SPD, Esther ran her own consultancy firm advising small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and not-for-profit organisations on matters relating to data protection. She had a six-year stint with the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) where she was Assistant Executive Director for Corporate Services. Concurrently, she also served as the General Manager of the SBF Foundation for more than four years, having played an instrumental role in its establishment in 2013.
Esther spent a good part of her career with the Singapore Corporation of Rehabilitative Enterprises, now known as Yellow Ribbon Singapore, where she headed its Corporate Services Division, Employment Assistance Unit, Food Services Business Unit and Business Development & Work Programme Planning Unit.
She obtained her Executive Master of Business Administration from the University at Buffalo, the State University of New York in 2012, and was recipient of the 2012 SIM-UB Award for Academic Excellence. She also holds a Bachelor of Business Studies from Nanyang Technological University, and is a “Fellow in Privacy” with the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
