Brothers Andy and Eugene Peh are setting aside their engineering books on 3 September and taking their learning to the streets of Singapore. They are aiming to understand how wheelchair users get around and caregivers help, and will be experiencing firsthand the user-friendliness of physical environments for physically disabled people here.
With a shared vision to drive thought leadership in diversity and inclusion in both learning and work environments, SMU and SPD held a conference today on “Education for Inclusive Workspaces”. The event brought about invaluable dialogue amongst employers, educators, students and professionals working with people with disabilities.

With their stellar academic performance and passion for learning, four young Singaporeans rose above their disabilities to receive the Asia Pacific Breweries (APB) Foundation Scholarship for Persons with Disabilities from Ms Sim Ann, Minister of State for Education and Communications and Information. The presentation ceremony was held this morning, marking the 10th year of this scholarship programme.
Four inspiring young Singaporeans with disabilities displayed excellent academic credentials, strong leadership potential and a passion for higher learning to be awarded the Microsoft YouthSpark Scholarship.
