SPD Therapy Hub was established in 2005 to recruit, manage, and develop a professional team of therapists dedicated to delivering community-based rehabilitation services. Our physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language therapists are deeply committed to supporting the inclusion of individuals with disabilities to live, work, and play in the community.

There are currently more than 100 therapists in SPD Therapy Hub who are qualified to provide care in a wide array of internal programmes and community organisations across the lifespan, including:

  • EIPIC centres
  • Mainstream preschools
  • Mainstream primary schools
  • Special schools
  • Community hospitals
  • Day rehabilitation centres
  • Social/Dementia day care centres
  • Sheltered workshops
  • Vocational rehabilitation units
  • Disability homes
  • Destitute/Psychiatric homes
  • Sheltered homes
  • Nursing homes

All our therapists are registered with the Allied Health Professional Council in accordance with the Allied Health Professions Act 2011.

SPD Therapy Hub ensures a high quality of care for our clients across the service continuum through the provision of both formal and informal platforms for the training and development of our therapists in clinical practice, education, supervision, and research. In non-traditional areas of work, our therapists also play a part in developing programmes, grooming the next generation of allied health professionals, and influencing rehabilitation standards of the community sector.
