Wheelchair user looks to fulfilling a long-held dream at this year’s SPD Ability Walk & Run

A viral infection to the brain which happened after training for a charity run 24 years ago upended Terance’s life. After a two-week coma, Terance woke up to find that the condition had affected his ability to walk, talk and perform daily activities. But today, the 47-year-old is gathering his courage to pick up where he left off to participate in a charity walk, something which he did not manage to complete back then.

The 6th SPD Charity Golf Event Raises $308,000 for People with Disabilities

A total of $308,000 was raised for SPD Charity Golf 2022 which was held at the Singapore Island Country Club on 21 January. Gracing the occasion was Guest-of-Honour Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, former Minister and Member of Parliament of Singapore, and also Director for Community Leadership and Social Innovation Centre at the Singapore Institute of Technology.
