More than 1,200 people participated in the SPD Ability Walk & Run 2022 on 3 Sep, raising close to $200,000 for persons with disabilities.
A viral infection to the brain which happened after training for a charity run 24 years ago upended Terance’s life. After a two-week coma, Terance woke up to find that the condition had affected his ability to walk, talk and perform daily activities. But today, the 47-year-old is gathering his courage to pick up where he left off to participate in a charity walk, something which he did not manage to complete back then.
For the first time, the SPD Charity Bake Sale has curated a list of home bakers that includes bakers with disabilities such as a one-handed baker, a stroke survivor, a baking enthusiast with a disability as well as an elderly kueh-maker.

A total of $308,000 was raised for SPD Charity Golf 2022 which was held at the Singapore Island Country Club on 21 January. Gracing the occasion was Guest-of-Honour Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, former Minister and Member of Parliament of Singapore, and also Director for Community Leadership and Social Innovation Centre at the Singapore Institute of Technology.

The SPD Ability Walk & Run returns with a second year of its virtual edition, rallying individuals and corporates to advance the disability cause and raise much needed funds for persons with disabilities.
