We were saddened by the news of the passing of our former Board member Mr Yeo Jeu Nam on 9 October 2023. Mr Yeo was an honoured member of the SPD Board of Management from 2001 to 2014. He also held office as Honorary Treasurer from 2002 to 2004. After stepping down from the Board in 2014, Mr Yeo continued to contribute to SPD’s work and mission in his role as member of the SPD Audit Committee.
In the time that Mr Yeo was with SPD, he had constantly reminded us to be mindful of our responsibility as a charity in spending public funds. We are grateful for his guidance and for being among the stalwarts who shaped the high level of governance standards and culture that we uphold in SPD. We have the greatest respect for Mr Yeo and his contributions to SPD. He will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
