In conjunction with this year’s Speech Therapy Week which will take place from 1 to 6 November, SPD will collaborate with the Speech-Language and Hearing Association, Singapore (SHAS) to organise a public forum to raise awareness of communication and swallowing difficulties and its impact on quality of life.
The public forum will also feature talks by local experts on adult swallowing and communication difficulties and paediatric communication and feeding difficulties. The talks will be split into two sessions with the morning session dedicated to adult dysphagia-related topics and the afternoon to paediatric-related ones.
