Time: 8.30am to 12.30pm

Venue: Singapore Management University, Mochtar Riady Auditorium

Jointly organised by SPD and Singapore Management University, the ‘Building A Culture of Inclusion Within Institutes of Higher Learning’ conference will gather educators, school administrators and counsellors to discuss various approaches from which they may think about policies, systems and practices - from student admissions and classroom instruction to career guidance and student services. It will also highlight pertinent issues and best practices from around the world.

The half day conference features keynote speakers Dr Earl Avery (Special Assistant to the President and Ombudsman at Bentley University) and Ms Mary Quirke (AHEAD - Association of Higher Education Access and Disability), as well as a panel of persons with disabilities, including SPD President Ms Chia Yong Yong, who will be sharing their experiences, challenges and success in completing higher education in Singapore.

SAFRA Dance Fiesta – 4,000-Hour Dance-a-thon

Time: 10am to 6pm

Venue: *SCAPE

Boogie the day away in aid of SPD at the SAFRA Dance Fiesta - 4,000-Hour Dance-a-thon! Groove to a different beat every hour as the deejay spins a different tune for a new dance genre every hour. For those with two left feet, there will be seven hours of guided dance to make it easy for all to follow. More experienced dancers can look forward to two hours of freestyle dancing.
A timing chip will be issued to each participant to track the total number of hours clocked from 10am till 6pm. The top 500 participants who clock the longest dance hours will each receive a limited edition medal.
